The Development of Cold Storage and Cargo Terminal at Lengpui, Aizawl, is a strategically designed infrastructure project by Elevra Projects Pvt. Ltd. to enhance perishable goods management and logistics efficiency in the Northeast region. This project aims to bridge the gap between agricultural and pharmaceutical producers and distant markets by providing modern cold chain logistics infrastructure near the airport.

Key Features:

Cold Storage Facility: A fully equipped, temperature-controlled warehouse designed to store perishable items like fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, and pharmaceuticals. It ensures minimal wastage and quality preservation throughout the supply chain.

  • Reception and main workspace with ~25 workstations Separate sales desk for 10 staff Manager cabins and conference hall (15–20 capacity) Pantry and restrooms for daily operations
  • Community and Recreational Zones: Amphitheatre & Stargazing Area: Celebrates Mizo folklore through open-air performances and astronomy experiences Playground with Gallery Seating: Promotes youth engagement and healthy lifestyle among the local community

Purpose and Impact:

This facility is envisioned to support local farmers, exporters, MSMEs, and pharmaceutical distributors, enabling them to store and ship their products efficiently. It will reduce post-harvest losses, generate employment, and enhance economic activity in the region, aligned with sustainable and culturally rooted development.
